About Microschool Solutions

A school is a deeply
human thing.
So is our support.

The wonder of a child feeling seen. The complexity of making a school work. We know both, because we’ve lived them.

We are microschool founders, educators, and people who care about what becomes possible when learning feels personal. We bring that experience to your school, one conversation and one next step at a time.

Microschools opened with our team’s help.
Across the United States and around the world.

The reason we do this

You can create something
that matters to a child.

You might be carrying an idea for a school that doesn’t exist yet. Or leading a community that already depends on you. We know there is a person behind that work, with questions, hopes, limits, and a life of their own.

Our work is to help you think clearly, make grounded decisions, and keep learning as you build. Your school stays yours. You have people beside you.

Experience you can talk to

Meet the team.

Different school models. Shared care for children, families, and the founders making it happen.

Team administration · Former microschool founder

Kat has run a microschool herself and now supports the team’s administrative work. She brings a founder’s understanding to the practical details that help a community work.

Everything changed in 2018 when I walked into a microschool for the first time.

It was in someone’s living room. Kids were reading, creating, talking, and moving freely. The energy was different. Alive. Intentional. As a teacher, I could feel that these children wanted to be there. I knew I’d discovered something extraordinary.

Within days, I told Kelly Smith, Prenda’s founder, “I have to work for you.”

I became Prenda’s third full-time employee and personally recruited and helped launch 52 microschools in eight months, helping grow Prenda from 3 schools to 55. I conducted Prenda’s first 100 prospective guide interviews, trained others in founder recruitment, and later led its New Markets team, supporting expansion into Kansas, Louisiana, Colorado, and New Hampshire.

In 2023, I founded Microschool Solutions to help more people turn their dreams of starting a school into reality. I’ve since supported hundreds of aspiring and existing founders, collaborated with national organizations, and worked to expand educational opportunities across multiple states.

Today, I also operate Noble Microschool in Mesa, Arizona, where I experience firsthand both the extraordinary possibilities and everyday challenges of creating a school around the children it serves.

I’m co-authoring The Microschool Difference and developing Microschool OS, an AI-driven platform designed to make starting and sustaining a microschool more accessible.

What drives all of this is a simple belief: There is no one right way to educate a child.

I believe the future of education isn’t one perfect model. It’s thousands of thoughtful, creative, deeply human learning environments built by people who see what’s possible and care enough to make it happen.

If you’re exploring microschooling, educational innovation, or opportunities to collaborate, I’d love to connect.
